Casey, a law school student, is on a mission to prove her brother Marcus was wrongfully convicted of murdering her childhood friend Devina. Marcus was found at the scene attempting to steal Devina’s necklace off her dead body. Casey turns to her classmates Eli, Sarah, PJ, and their P.I. friend Liam to help find Devina’s true killer. With a tip from her Professor, Casey discovers that Devina was involved in a relationship with Kurt Teller, a local philanthropist married to Rachel Teller. When Kurt is found dead (by Devina’s father who killed him in self-defense after confronting him), the team pivots to his wife Rachel as the primary suspect. In the end, the group of law school students catch Rachel on tape confessing to Devina’s murder. Now that Marcus is exonerated, the friends agree to help Liam on his next case.
