Details

A year out from her divorce and with her daughter soon heading off to college Celeste is struggling to embrace the next chapter of her life, mainly hiding away at home to dodge her coworkers' constant attempts to set her up on pity dates. Then Celeste’s best friend, Eva, asks her to take Eva’s place partnering with bird-enthusiast John for an annual birding event. She knows nothing about birds, but she needs to get out of her comfort zone somehow. But when she misunderstands the assignment, thinking she must pretend to be John’s new girlfriend, too, she tells everyone they are dating. And it turns out to be a three-week commitment, not just one weekend as she believed. Now Celeste and John are locked into a fake dating scenario in front of the competition (which happens to include his ex-girlfriend) as well as her pesky co-workers. Celeste throws herself into the world of birding so she doesn’t hold John back as a win means he could finally launch his own guiding business. What Celeste and John don’t expect is that their fake love could pave the way for the real thing.
